It’s been one year since installing and using our ZLINE appliance suite. Here’s my honest ZLINE appliance review and if I would purchase them again.

Why We Chose ZLINE Appliances
When I designed the kitchen during our renovation, I had two main goals:
First, it had to reflect my personal style—something unique, elevated, and just a little unexpected.
Second, I wanted a space that would help take the dread and loathing out of cooking dinner for my family every single day.
So when it came time to choose appliances, they had to meet some very specific criteria: They had to look amazing, perform like pros, and not cost an arm and a leg—because unfortunately, I have no limbs to spare!
If you’re reading this, chances are that you’re also shopping around for large kitchen appliances. You’ve likely noticed that top-of-the-line, professional appliances are so, very expensive!
It’s shocking how much professional ranges cost these days!
And to be quite honest, I’m not a professional cook nor do I WANT to be!
I’m just a regular mom who needs to feed her family at home so that we don’t end up in the poor house from eating take-out food every night.
I wanted a high-end designer look in my new kitchen, and I needed the appliances to fit into that aesthetic.
After quite a bit of research, we landed on ZLINE because it checked every box when it came to form, function, and most importantly, price.
ZLINE’s mission states in part, “luxury is not meant to be left desired – it’s meant to be attainable”.
I couldn’t agree more.
The Showstopper: ZLINE 36″ Autograph Black Stainless Range

Honestly, I wanted my high gloss cabinets to be the star of the kitchen, but I believe that this range stole the show!
I chose the ZLINE 36″ Autograph Black Stainless Duel Fuel Range with polished gold accents. It is the workhorse of our kitchen.
It has handcrafted Italian-made brass sealed burners that develop a pretty patina over time and use.
I love the black stainless steel. A stainless steel range would’ve looked great in this space too, but I think the black elevates the look and feel.
Is the Autograph range easy to clean?

Yes! I’m really happy with how easy it is to clean. The stove top wipes up very easily.
I had a stainless steel range in our last home (GE Cafe series – I do not recommend). The stove top portion was also stainless steel, and it looked great for the mere 5 seconds it was clean! It stayed so dirty, and it was a booger to scrub clean. It also scratched very easily.
But the ZLINE stove top is black porcelain, and it wipes clean so fast. I like to use Dawn Powerwash on it. It dissolves cooked on food spills and grease splatters so well.
A few nights ago, I accidentally dropped half a stick of butter onto the stove top – I missed the pot I was aiming for! I was really dreading cleaning it up because it obviously melted then went everywhere. But the next day it wiped right off no problem.
On the black stainless steel portions of the range, I like to use Weiman’s cleaner and a microfiber cloth to clean and polish.
How big is the ZLINE range?

This is my first time to have a 36″ wide range as I’ve only had 30″ wide ranges in past homes. I love the extra room on the stove top and in the oven!
I was skeptical that the extra 6″ would make any real difference. However, I’m surprised at how much it does.
I often find myself using 3 to 4 of the burners at once while making dinner. With the 36″ wide range, it’s much more comfortable and easier to maneuver around.
If you are designing a kitchen from scratch and have the option to include a larger range, I’d definitely recommend it!

How well does the ZLINE Autograph range bake?
I don’t bake homemade desserts and/or bread a lot. I mostly use the oven for baking casseroles, meats, frozen pizzas (haha, just being real!). My daughter likes to bake cookies and brownies now and then.
I’m happy to report that I’ve not burned a single thing yet!
I’m sure we’ve all experienced an oven that gets too hot toward the back. Such an annoying problem.
Luckily I’ve not had that issue with my ZLINE. It bakes evenly from front to back.

What are the pros & cons of the ZLINE duel fuel range?
This is my personal list of pros and cons for the Autograph range.
Pros
- Looks really great
- Easy to clean
- Spacious cook top
- Heavy, nice quality cast iron grates on stove top
- Double oven racks on ball bearings for easy sliding in and out
- Option for stainless steel round legs or blocky-style gold leg covers to match knobs
- Oven bakes evenly and predictably every time
- Oven door feels heavy and substantial
Cons
- Oven fan sound is noticeable – it’s not deafening, but it is not quiet either. I’m used to the sound now. But it did take me a few weeks to get used to hearing the oven when it was on.
- I wish the oven would make a ding or beep when it finished preheating.
Would I purchase the ZLINE Autograph range again?
Yes, I would. In my opinion, I think this range is a good value for the money.
It delivers a designer look with great performance. The quality of the materials, the reliability of the features, and the sleek visual impact make it one of my favorite pieces in the entire kitchen.
I’d recommend it to anyone who’s a regular home-cook looking for a beautifully designed range that doesn’t blow the entire renovation budget.

Seamless and Spacious: ZLINE 36″ Panel Ready, Built-In Refrigerator

I was dead set on having a fully integrated fridge and freezer in order to keep the cabinetry looking seamless. The ZLINE 36″ panel-ready, built in french door fridge with pull out freezer was exactly the option that checked all my boxes.
I love that you don’t see a giant fridge appliance in my kitchen! Having the cabinet door panels on the fridge is so nice.
This probably goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway. Panels are not included with this fridge. They’re fabricated and sold separately from wherever/whoever you get your cabinets. In our case, Cabinet Joint made my appliance panels when I ordered my cabinet package from them.
I’m happy with the amount of space inside, especially with the door shelves. And there’s ample room in the freezer with it’s double pull out drawers.

Have we had any issues with the fridge?
After owning the fridge for around a year, the freezer started having issues. It was not holding the correct temperature. Some days it would be fine and things would be frozen as they should be, then the next day all the ice would be melted and the food thawed out. I purchased a fridge thermometer to test the temp fluctuations and noted that it would range from 10 degrees to 40 degrees in a 24 hour period.
I contacted ZLINE customer support through their website, and was pleasantly surprised when an agent replied to my email within hours. She was SO kind and helpful! She immediately set up an appointment for a local technician to come look at it.
The certified tech was at my home within a couple of days to look at the freezer. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and he was on the phone ordering the new part before he left my house. The part arrived to my house within 2 days! The tech came back out and installed the new part. (I’m so sorry, I cannot recall what the part was for the life of me) But he swapped it out within minutes, and the freezer has been great since then (this was 8 months ago). Everything was still under warranty so I paid exactly $0.
While appliance hiccups are never a fun thing, they happen to everyone. And they happen pretty often! I was beyond happy with how quickly (and kindly!) ZLINE fixed the issue.

What are the pros & cons of the 36″ ZLINE french door fridge and pull out freezer?
Pros:
- Built-in, fully integrated, panel-ready design
- Interior water dispenser and ice maker
- Counter depth
- Extra tall height
- Easy glide freezer pull out drawer
- Digital control panel
Cons:
- When the ice bucket is very full, sometimes when you pull the drawer out some of the ice cubes can fall backward into the freezer cavity. The ice cubes then prevent the freezer drawer from closing all the way. You must carefully remove the fallen ice cubes from the bottom of the freezer cavity so that the drawer can fully close. It’s very difficult to reach your arm into the cavity to retrieve the ice! If you have younger children who don’t know to pay attention to this possible issue, then they’re very likely to unknowingly leave the freezer drawer ajar. Plus, it’s unlikely they’d be able to reach the fallen ice cubes – an adult would need to get them out so that the drawer will fully close. I won’t lie, this has been an annoyance. My kids are teens and are aware of the possible issue, but if they were younger, I could see how this would be an ongoing problem. I have found that if I turn the ice maker off (by raising the metal lever on the ice maker) when the ice tray is semi full this really helps! Falling ice is only an issue if the ice tray is overly full…that is when cubes get knocked out. Being mindful of only allowing the ice tray to remain half-full has nearly remedied the issue.
Would I purchase the ZLINE fridge and freezer again?
I think I’ll still say yes to this. You’ll be hard pressed to find a another fully integrated, panel-ready french door with bottom freezer option at this same price point. I do hope the ice cube issue is redesigned (maybe in the time since we bought ours it has been addressed?). Because like I said above, a household with younger children would most likely be fetching fallen ice multiple times per day.
But the fridge unit looks really great, I appreciate the fact it doesn’t cost an actual fortune, and I had a very positive experience with ZLINE customer service!
The Unsung Hero: ZLINE 24: Panel-Ready Dishwasher

Last but certainly not least: the ZLINE 24″ Panel Ready Monument Series 3rd Rack Top Touch Control Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub.
If you’re anything like me, you dirty a ton of dishes every freaking time you cook. I swear to you, I can use every dish I own when I am in the kitchen.
I’m very grateful that the ZLINE Monument dishwasher holds up to 16 place settings and has a 3rd top rack for utensils.
My teens have the chore of loading the dishwasher most nights. No matter how many times I explain how to rake food off the dishes…they wind up in the dishwasher very, very chunky and dirty!
Still yet, the dishes manage to come clean.

Panel-Ready VS Fully Integrated
Here’s something I wish I had known sooner: there’s a difference between “panel-ready” and “fully integrated” dishwashers, and it really matters—especially if you have inset cabinets like I do.
Inset cabinets mean the doors sit within the cabinet frame, so everything needs to line up perfectly. The dishwasher I chose is panel-ready, but not fully integrated.
Adding the cabinet panel caused the dishwasher to stick out about ¾ inch past the surrounding doors because the appliance body wasn’t designed to sit fully flush with the cabinetry
If your cabinet doors are overlay (where the doors sit on top of the frame), this isn’t a problem.
The ZLINE Monument dishwasher will blend in beautifully. But if you’re working with inset cabinetry, you’ll want to make sure your dishwasher is both panel-ready and fully integrated (aka built-in) to avoid the end result of the panel sticking out.
It’s definitely not the end of the world, and most people won’t even notice—but if you’re a detail person like me, this is something to plan for up front!

What are the pros and cons of the ZLINE Monument dishwasher?
Pros:
- Panel-ready design allows you to conceal the appliance, looks great – plus you can add your own desired handle
- Top row concealed control panel
- Top rack for utensils
- When door is opened a light comes on
- 6 wash cycles plus option to delay start
- Dishes come out really clean
- Large capacity
Cons:
- Panel sits proud of my inset cabinets (again, this is only a con if you have inset cabinetry)
Would I purchase the ZLINE Monument dishwasher again?
Since my cabinets are inset, I have to say no.
I hate to say no based on looks only – since the dishwasher functions perfectly fine. If I had overlay style cabinets, then yes, I would purchase this dishwasher again.
