Welcome To My Kitchen Holiday Home Tour 2020!
Amy and Christy from 11 Magnolia Lane and my friend, Jenny, at Evolution of Style have graciously been hosting this year’s Holiday Home Tour blog hop all week. So, if you’re coming here from A Blissful Nest, welcome (if you haven’t yet visited A Blissful Nest’s kitchen, don’t miss it!)
I was thrilled to be invited to join the fun this year. I hope you enjoy this look around my kitchen, and be sure to visit the beautiful homes of the other blogger’s on the tour!
This is the first Christmas with our newly painted GREEN cabinets! Here’s a look back at last year’s holiday decor when the cabinets were painted Revere Pewter.
I love using fresh greenery in my holiday decor. This real tree is the perfect size to fit in a vintage brass bucket that I recently found at a thrift store. Simple and festive!
I’ve learned from seeing Miss Mustard Seed’s gorgeous photos that nearly any regular thing can become Christmas-y if you add fresh cut greenery to it.
The Good Tidings scent from The Antique Candle Co is perfect for this time of year!
This year was the first time I’ve ever dried grapefruit and oranges, but they are just perfect to use in kitchen holiday decor! To dry, I sliced very thin pieces, laid them flat on a cookie sheet and popped them in the oven at 200 degrees for 5-6 hours flipping them over once per hour.
I love this corner of my kitchen, but it’s very hard to get a decent photo of because it’s dark…also because I’m not a professional photographer. I do the best I can with my iPhone🙂
When in doubt with your holiday decor, just add a double faced satin ribbon bow to it. It will be just fine. I splurged on this ribbon from Jenny Steffens Hobick and it does not disappoint. It’s so luxurious!
I feel like Oprah saying, “You get a bow! And you get a bow! Everybody gets a bow!!!”
Thank you so much for coming by! The next kitchen on the tour is Marty at A Stroll Through Life.
From our home to yours, we wish you a very merry Christmas and, like everyone else, we pray for a much better 2021! Stay well and safe out there my friends❤️

Just wow, Kayla! I love the new color and your decor is fabulous. You are so right that just adding some greenery makes anything a Christmas decoration! So many things to love here but I do think my favorite is that orange (tangerine?) topiary in the blue and white jar. Thanks so much for touring with us! XO, Christy
